Clip Machine

Terms of service

The service

Clip Machine ("we", "us") turns a long video you provide into short vertical clips, using an upstream AI clipping service, at your direction. You ("you", "the customer") pay for each clip run at the rate published on our pricing page. We are an independent Ounie product.

Account & billing

There is no subscription for this product. Jobs are billed in Ounie credits (1 credit = 1¢) from your shared Ounie wallet, priced on the AI processing a clip run takes: 20 credits per minute of source video plus 20 credits per clip returned. A job reserves the source-length charge (fixed by the video's length, read when you submit) plus 20 credits for each clip you request, and settles only on the clips actually delivered; a short, failed, timed-out, or aborted job refunds the unused reserve automatically and in full. Credits are purchased and managed on ounie.com; your library and prior clips remain accessible regardless of your credit balance.

Acceptable use

You may only submit videos you have the right to process into clips. What you clip and how you use the output — including its accuracy, legality, and compliance with the policies of any platform where you publish it (including YouTube's terms and the rights of the original creator) — is your responsibility. You will not attempt to discover endpoints we haven't documented, bypass rate limits, or resell raw access to the service.

Your clips

As between you and us, the clips you produce are yours to use, subject to the rights in the underlying video. We claim no rights over your videos or clips and do not use them to train models. Automated clipping may miss the best moment or include artifacts, and is provided as-is — review before you rely on it.

Availability

Clipping depends on a third-party upstream service and on the source video remaining reachable; providers may reject individual jobs under their own policies. A rejected or failed job refunds automatically, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is, without warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Refunds

Failed and short jobs refund automatically (the unused reservation is reversed). For anything else, open a support ticket.

Liability

Our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss arising from your use or publication of clips.

Termination

Either party can terminate at any time. You retain access to clips you've already paid for, and you can download them before closing your account. We may suspend accounts for material violations of these terms with notice.
